The former president's Family Member Seeks Professional Advice from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star maintains substantial online following
Kai Trump can count on multiple high-profile cheerleaders as she makes her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is related to a former US president, was granted a special exemption to play at the Annika competition in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, operates several courses worldwide and often plays against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have competitive games," she mentioned.
She mentioned that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa essentially told me to compete and relax," she added.
"To me, he's just an ordinary family member. He's not attending for the tournament. He's busy with running the country, making him quite busy."
While still amateur, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions recently and has position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
But she's able to get advice from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He represents the top athlete in the world," Kai stated.
"And he's a superior person. He told me to compete, relax, adapting to the flow."
The golfer will compete against multiple most prominent players in women's golf at the Annika, such as world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that involving Kai brings golf to new audiences, especially with younger fans.
Kai has substantial online presence and has started an exclusive clothing and lifestyle label.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
