We start with inquiries from Conservative lawmaker the panel's head, that chairs the committee.

She opens by giving context to the unauthorized memorandum prepared by Michael Prescott and printed in the Telegraph.

"It is not my wish for the BBC slanting toward one side or the other, I simply desire it straight, impartial and equitable," he says.

Upon being questioned whether he believes the BBC is systematically partial, he answers: "Absolutely not. To be clear, numerous aspects the BBC does is world class - both factual and fictional content."

But he adds: "There exists real work that needs to be done at the BBC."

The second previous consultant British Broadcasting Corporation adviser interviewed by the committee, Caroline Daniel, states she takes the BBC with great importance and that it operates a "continuous process and lively discussion" across evolving and intricate topics.

"Did the BBC willing to have a thorough discussion and debate and act accordingly?" she reflects. "From my perspective, yes they were."
