FC Barcelona Set to Play Inaugural Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday
The club confirmed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in the Spanish league two and a half years after they moved out so building work could begin.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans are permitted inside as per the current authorization. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.
Preparatory Events
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
