David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the publisher said: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was made after an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour directed at young women.
The publisher did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
To date, he has released more than 40 books in total, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
